You Were Here by Cori McCarthy. It’s a stunning contemporary YA about growing up, moving on, and finding out who you are.

White Lines by Jennifer Banash. Another gripping YA contemporary.

The Casquette Girls by Alys Arden. New Orleans, Magic, Vampires.. need I say more? This was such an amazing book!

The Descent (The Taker Trilogy #3) by Alma Katsu. I was shocked to discover this had under 2k ratings. The Taker was amazing. The Reckoning even more so. But the finale had the most amazing twist!!! People who enjoyed the first two are missing an amazing story arc by skipping this one. It’s a must read.

The Violet Fox by Clare C. Marshall. It’s been years since I’ve read this book, but I remember how much I loved the setting and the whole Robin Hood-like heroine. It’s such a fun book.

The Time Weaver by Thomas A. Knight. This fantasy is a bit rough around the edges, but the storyline is pretty awesome.

The Sulfur Heights Series by M.S. Brannon. This contemporary new adult series is rough around the edges, gritty, and even a tad trashy, but it’s absolutely addicting. I fell hard for all of the mixed up characters. The characters brawl, drink, and love their family with all they have.

The Deepest Night (The Sweetest Dark #2) by Shana Abe. Not only does The Sweetest Dark barely have 2k ratings, but the sequel is well under 2k. I have always thought this series is underrated, but I never had any idea how much. This is one of my absolute favorite series. It’s full of magic, romance, and a poetic sense of being and longing. It’s amazing.

Florence (Florence Waverly #1) by Ciye Cho. If you’re into mermaids, this series is magical and beautifully told. The descriptions alone are incredible.

Intangible by Jen Meyers. It’s a fun paranormal story with a great plot.

What underrated books do you love?
