Top Ten Books Set Outside of the U.S.
This topic seemed really difficult, but once I started, I realized that there are a ton of books I read that aren’t set in the U.S. at all. It’s always awesome when you realize how diverse your bookshelf really is. There are a ton more I could add to this list, especially if I included fictional places.
The Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling (UK)
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (France)
The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly (UK)
Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor (Czech Republic/Morocco)
The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak (Germany)
The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning (Ireland)
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer (Asia)
The Sweetest Dark by Shana Abe (UK)
The His Fair Assassin trilogy by Robin LaFevers (Brittany/France)
Chasing River by K.A. Tucker (Ireland)
What are some of you favorite books set outside of the United States?
