Feature and Follow Friday – Book to Movie

Feature and Follow Friday
hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee

This week’s prompt:

What are two of your favorite Book to Movie adaptations?

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I loved The Perks of Being A Wallflower. I think it helped that the author wrote the screenplay. I was very skeptical because I didn’t think any of the casting choices were correct and I avoided the movie for awhile. When I finally saw it, it blew me away! The casting choices were spot on and the movie was awesome.

White Oleander by Janet Fitch. I actually saw the movie before reading the book, but I enjoyed the book just as much. I have this weird thing where if I see the movie first, sometimes, I don’t even like the book. White Oleander was a great book and a great movie. I loved the actors and actresses. I’m still amazed that they made the movie as dark as the book and I loved how they really captured every screwed up part of the mother daughter relationship.

What are some of your favorite book to movie adaptations?

If you’re a new follower, be sure to let me know and I’ll make sure I follow back!
